Reflections on Making Mistakes acceptable. Karen Boyes

SO true the importance of teaching strategies to deal with failure especially in this day and age.
Modeling I the best way I believe

So what can an educator do?
Here are some tips from the reading:

It again comes back to a growth mindset and how important this is to instill in the students.
An example I use every day. I do try and always talk with children if they have made a
mistake I always articulate for them to hear great. You must be learning as you know you ’ve
made a mistake! Better still is you know why and how to fix it. Here’s the learning!
I BELIEVE THE MORE STUDENTS HEAR THIS SURELY THIS IS HELPING THEM.
IN the reading this is called NORMALISING MISTAKES

I also like the wordle idea for seniors great way to increase vocab. Visual Thesaurus

INtroduce the learning pit: again another idea but now because I am reminded of it!
E.g

Like the idea of displaying work in all stages not only the best BUT dependent on wall space!
Maybe some laminated work on rings?
